Receive links has released their word press plug-in that makes it a plug and play system now to be in the receivelinks.com link exchange network.

If you don’t know what receive links is I would recommend you read the frequently asked questions which I am copying and pasting here for convenience:

General questions about Receive Links, what it can do and how it works

What is the purpose behind the Receive Links network? Gathering quality, permanent links and ads to your website can be very tiresome and the cost of buying such ads soon builds up. By joining Receive Links you allocate a certain number of advert / link spaces on your website for Receive Links to place links, and in return Receive Links other members display your ads and links. This is an automated service that costs you nothing.

Can anyone use the Receive Links? Anyone can join Receive Links, providing they have a good quality website to add to the network and make ads / link spaces available on part or all of the website.

Is Receive Links theme or category based? Each website and link added to Receive Links must select a category, and each can be limited to there category or language at the discretion of the user.

How is my Points calculated? Your Points is an amount we work out for you based on a number of factors, mainly how authoritive your website is, how many pages are recognized by search engines and how many link spaces you make available to the network. Other factors include on-page factors like pages size, internal links, external links and word count.

How can I be sure I wont be linking to Spam or Porn? Rest assure all the websites, and all the pages ads point to get checked by a real person before Receive Links accepts them. Each website is carefully checked to ensure it meets all our guidelines. To question a site or link in the network please contact support (at) receivelinks.com

How long does it take for a new site in my account to be approved? Most new sites are approved straight away if they are added during the day. We have approvers in different time zones around the words to keep the approve process to a minimal. At other times it can be anything up to 24 hours. If there is a problem with the site (i.e. it doesn’t meet our guidelines, or isn’t accessible) it will take longer.

I just signed up for Receive Links with my site but I don’t have much Points? Your Points goes up with each new page found on your site by the client code, so do not expect to see your total amount straight away. This is because we only log and rate your pages as they contact our server, and this only happens when the pages are loaded. Only once all your pages are found will you see your total Points.

I have a huge site, although I don’t have much Points, why? Points is worked out on a page by page basis, and only pages which Receive Links marks as cached by the major search engines are stored in our database, and these will be the only pages you receive Points for.

My site shows points but I have no or little points in my account? If you limit your sites to receive ads or links from its category only then there is a cost for this we reduce your points to reflect the demand of the category in the network. There is no cost to limit your site to your own language. Does my site need Page Rank? Your site doesn’t need to have Page Rank, but it does need to be recognized by the major search engines to ensure no banned or bad neighborhood sites enter the network.

How do I test to see if my site is set-up correctly? In the manage sites page you will see a list of your site(s). By clicking on edit and turning on test mode will display “test links” where the Receive Links links should appear. Once you are happy the links are displaying correctly you can go back to your account page and turn test mode off.

Test mode works, but I when I turn it off no links display? Links are assigned to new sites gradually, so you will not see links on your site straight away. This is normal. If test mode works you can be 99.9% certain your site is set up correctly.

Do test have to say on while the sites is activated after setup? No we place links on the page you give us when activating the site and then remove it after its done this happens fast so you are more then likely not to see the test link.

Are the links coded in plain HTML or is there some sort of JavaScript involved? The links are added to your web page using a simple php file, which puts the text links on to the page in the normal HTML format using the “a href” tag. You can easily customize the look and layout of the ads you display by editing the site in the manage sites page.

How many links will I receive? The amount of links you will receive depends on your “Points” if you use language and/or category limits. The higher your Points the more links you will receive. Can I limit my links I get to a Max Page Rank? Yes, you can select the max page rank of the ads you receive from the network. Can I keep from getting links on low Page Rank sites? Yes, With one of the subscriptions levels above Unlimited gain access to place links starting at a minimal Page Rank.

Why is my ads getting links on low Page Rank Pages? We place Links in a pyramid fashion. Pages are group by there Page Rank in levels with Page Rank 0 and 1 in the same level. The Link placement works on a power of 3 to get to the next level. so on the first few placements you will get Links on lower Page Rank pages. As your ad receives more links it will get Links on higher Page Rank pages.

How many different links will I receive by joining the network? The amount of links depends on your overall Points and subscription level although you can divide your Points between different URLs

Can I point my links to any site or just ones I host the ads on? You can point your ads / links to any page providing it meets all our guidelines. They do not have to be sites you are hosting ads on. For instance I could add site A to Receive Links to host links, and my ads could point to pages on site B and C.

Can I change the link text I want people to use for linking to me? Once links are approved you can not change the link text, although you can adjust the proportion each link uses.

How often can I change my links? Once your links have been added you can not change the URL, link text, category, or language. This is a precaution to protect against anyone changing ads that has been approved. You can however change the max links, max points, etc. If you do need to change the URL or the link text, the only way you can do this is by deleting the link and adding a new one.

How is it possible to make all the links permanent? Simple each link stays permanent until you decide to delete the link, leave the network, or the site your link is placed on leaves the network.

Why do we have a referral system? Referring new people to Receive Links helps the network grow. The more sites in the network the more advertising slots will be available on a wider variety of sites, this benefits you because a wide range of sites means we can give you more themed links.

Are there any other incentives? For each account (which includes all the sites in this account) we will give you 5% to 15% of the Points of the new account you have referred (this is not deducted off them). This lasts for the life time of your and the referred account. If the Points of the referred account goes up (or down) so will your referral bonus. Also we offer a subscription Bonus for each set of 10 sites that have over 500 points.
How do you know when I have referred someone? Every account has its own unique referral link which can be found in the referral details box which is located on your ‘Manage Account’ page. You can advertise Receive Links using this link and if someone clicks on it we give them a cookie so if they sign up anytime within 30 days after you will be counted as their referrer providing they do not delete the cookie or come to the site on a different referrer link.

How do I know if I have referred someone? In your referral details box we list every site which has been referred by you, together with how many Points there account has.

Where can I find the total number of referrals and total Points bonus? In the top of every page under your name there is a line for points that shows used points / total points and referrer points.
Can I refuse to host certain ads / links on my site? Yes, you can ban a certain number of domains from appearing on your website.

How many domains can I ban? The total number of domains you can ban depends on what subscription level you are at. The free levle gives you 10 per account. If you want to ban more than this you would need to subscribe to one of the subscription packages or get a subscription bonus by refereeing people to the network.

Are the bans permanent? No, once you have banned a site you can not ‘unban’ it for 30 days.
